Xp wireless connection validating identity
I'm not at home on it right now, i'm currently out of town, but it would not work for 24 hours so I assume it's still having issues.
But unlike WEP which is just a matter of having like 100,000 packets and the pass phrase can be reconstructed, WPA/WPA2 cracking is more of a dictionary brute force thing. But you'd have to know their ISP IP address, not the 192 etc address. I then changed it back to the Default Gateway, reset the Cable Modem, and hit the test button. But wireless, you have to get connected before you could get into the router. I never noticed the MAC address check boxes at the bottom of the page until you mentioned it. I would think it would be easier to just hack into most routers with User- admin and Password- password. With her laptop turned off have her connect it to the router via an Ethernet cable. How can it be that easy to break the arbitrary numbers and letters?
